Our Story

China Travel Book started with the questions I kept hearing from people planning their first trip to China. How many days do I need in Beijing? Can I visit these two places on the same day? Which train station should I use? The answers were often more complicated than they first appeared.

I began collecting the information that travelers actually needed, including realistic journey times, transport options, booking requirements and notes about what a place is like at different times of year. As the website grew, more editors, route researchers and local contributors joined the work.

Today, we cover destinations and travel products across China. We still approach every guide in the same practical way: check the details, explain the options clearly and help travelers build a trip that works once they arrive.
