The Canton Tower, shaped like a "slender waist," is China's tallest tower located on the banks of the Pearl River. If you decide to visit, it's recommended to allow three to four hours. Most importantly, before buying tickets, think carefully about what you want to experience—whether you want to walk along the suspended glass walkway in the 433-meter indoor observation deck, try the Sky Drop, or for a romantic experience, ride the world's tallest horizontal Ferris wheel at 460 meters for a 360-degree panoramic view of the city. The most recommended time to visit is around 4:30 PM. This way, you can watch the sunset first, then wait for the lights to come on, experiencing Guangzhou's daytime, dusk, and nighttime views all at once.
The Canton Tower is located at 222 Yuejiang West Road, Haizhu District, Guangzhou. The most convenient public transportation option is to take Metro Line 3 or the APM line to "Canton Tower Station," and exit from Exit B to see this magnificent building. For a unique experience, you can take the S11 water bus (Canton Tower - Haixinsha) or the S2 water bus (Fangcun - Huangsha - Xidi - Tianzi - Grand Marshal's Mansion - Sun Yat-sen University - Canton Tower) to experience Guangzhou's waterfront charm from another perspective. If possible, it is recommended to purchase tickets online in advance, and remember to bring your passport for ticket purchase and tower entry. In addition, there are sightseeing buses offering multilingual guided tours at the plaza at the base of the tower, which can easily take you to other landmarks in Guangzhou.
Inside the Canton Tower, you have absolutely no need to worry about safety. High-speed elevators provide direct access to all observation decks, and there's also a sky post office and souvenir shops where you can purchase unique cultural and creative products or send postcards. Furthermore, each observation deck has its own restrooms and family restrooms. It's worth mentioning that almost all important signs and informational materials are available in English, ensuring a smooth and unobstructed visit.
