Overview
Dameisha Beach Park is Shenzhen's most famous free beach, located on the Dapeng Bay in Yantian District, boasting a wide sandy beach approximately 1800 meters long.
The park is open year-round, with summer being the best season to visit. The clear water and fine sand make it ideal for swimming and wading. March and spring/autumn offer pleasant temperatures, soft sunrises and sunsets, and bluer waters, perfect for photography and sightseeing. A visit of 4 to 6 hours is recommended. The park features numerous photo spots, including a sunny beach, a boardwalk, a giant "Birdman" sculpture, white sand swings, Moon Plaza, Sun Plaza, and a lighthouse. Besides swimming and playing in the sand, visitors can enjoy water sports such as jet skiing and banana boating, or stroll and cycle along the boardwalk, fully immersing themselves in the subtropical seaside scenery.
How to Get There
Subway (Highly Recommended): Take Shenzhen Metro Line 2 or Line 8 to "Dameisha Station". Exit from Exit A or B and walk for approximately 3-5 minutes to reach the beach.

Recommended one-day itinerary: Enter the park before 9:00 AM (less crowded, better for photos), first go to the beach to wade in the waves and swim (only within the safe area of the shark net), and take photos of the giant "Birdman" sculpture, the white swing, and the wishing tower; have lunch at the nearby seafood street or outlet mall; in the afternoon, walk about 2 kilometers along the Dameisha seaside boardwalk towards Xiaomeisha, enjoy the cliff sea view, and you can also visit the Lighthouse Library along the way (advance reservation is required through the "Yantian District Library" WeChat official account); in the evening, return to the beach to enjoy the sunset, avoiding the return peak from 4:00 PM to 7:00 PM.
What to Expect
The park features gently sloping trails and a sandy beach, with smooth surfaces suitable for visitors of all ages. There are ample and free restrooms, including free foot showers, paid showers (approximately 20 RMB per person), lockers (approximately 25 RMB each, with a 20 RMB deposit), changing rooms, and umbrella rentals. For dining, there is a food street and convenience stores near the beach offering drinks and snacks; an outlet mall (including restaurants and brand discount stores) is also located nearby. Volunteer lifeguard services are available throughout the park to ensure swimming safety.
