Fenghuang Ancient Town, located in Xiangxi Tujia and Miao Autonomous Prefecture, Hunan Province, is an ancient town with over 300 years of history. The Tuojiang River flows through the town, its banks lined with stilted houses and winding cobblestone streets, earning it the reputation of "China's most beautiful small town." The ancient town is open all day free of charge. Smaller attractions within the town, such as the former residences of Shen Congwen and Xiong Xiling, are open from 8:00 AM to 5:30 PM. A combined ticket for nine attractions (128 yuan) is available. The best time to visit is from March to May and from September to November, when the weather is pleasant and there are fewer tourists. Before 7:00 AM, you can enjoy the stunning morning mist on the river, and the night view from 6:30 PM to 9:00 PM is breathtaking with its dazzling lights. A 1-2 day visit is recommended. During the day, stroll through the old streets and visit historical buildings, and in the evening, take a boat trip on the Tuojiang River. Rent a Miao ethnic costume for photos and deeply experience the poetic Xiangxi scenery described in Shen Congwen's novel, *Border Town*.
