No. 93, Xianfeng Ancient Road, Songfeng Road, Chancheng District, Foshan City
Liang Garden, built during the Jiaqing and Daoguang periods of the Qing Dynasty, is one of the four famous gardens in Lingnan. It is renowned for its "three treasures": beautiful waters, unique rocks, and famous calligraphy. The garden's pavilions and towers are arranged in a harmonious and elegant manner, showcasing the typical refined charm of a private garden in the Cantonese region. Liang Garden is compact, and a leisurely stroll of 1 to 2 hours is sufficient to explore it. The best time to visit is after 3 pm, when the sunlight is at its lowest, creating the most beautiful light and shadow effects and perfect for taking photos. Saturdays (free admission) tend to be more crowded; for a quieter experience, it is recommended to visit on a weekday or Sunday morning.
Transportation: Liangyuan Garden is located at No. 93 Xianfeng Ancient Road, Songfeng Road, Chancheng District, Foshan City. The most convenient way is by subway; take the Guangfo Line to Zumiao Station, exit from Exit D, and then take a taxi for about 5 minutes. By bus, you can transfer to bus 109 or 105 at Zumiao Station Exit D and get off at "Liangyuan Station". If driving, you can directly navigate to "Foshan Liangyuan". Parking is recommended at the Songfeng Road public parking lot, which has ample spaces and costs approximately 5 yuan per hour. Itinerary: A well-organized one-day tour can be arranged as follows: Zumiao → Lingnan Tiandi → Kuaizi Road → Liangyuan Garden. The various attractions are within walking distance, allowing you to experience traditional Lingnan culture, a blend of old and new artistic streets, and the vibrant old street filled with the aroma of calligraphy scrolls.
Liangyuan Garden is not large overall, with mostly gentle walking paths and almost no steep stairs, making it friendly to the elderly and visitors with strollers. Restrooms are available, but there are no large restaurants or gift shops within the garden. Due to the dense vegetation, comfortable shoes and mosquito repellent are recommended.
