Wujiangzhai

Wujiangzhai International Tourist Resort is located in Bozhou District, Zunyi City, Guizhou Province, nestled amidst the mountains and rivers of northern Guizhou. The Wujiang River flows through the village, with stilted houses cascading down the mountainside along its banks. By day, the ancient village is as tranquil as a traditional Chinese ink painting; by night, illuminated by lights, it transforms into a dreamlike world reminiscent of "Spirited Away," certified by National Geographic as "the pinnacle of Guizhou's nightscape." It is recommended to allocate a full day for the visit. The best time to enter the park is between 2 pm and 3 pm, allowing you to capture both the soft daylight and the seamless transition to the night view.

Getting There: High-speed rail (highest recommended): Take the high-speed rail to Zunyi South Station (formerly Wujiangzhai Station). From there, a taxi takes about 20 minutes and costs approximately 30 yuan to reach the scenic area. Alternatively, you can go to Zunyi Station, where there is a direct shuttle bus to the scenic area that takes about 1 hour; the last bus departs at 18:30. By car: Navigate to "Wujiangzhai West Gate". It takes about 1.5 hours from Guiyang and about 40 minutes from Zunyi city center. Parking is capped at 15 yuan for 24 hours. Scenic area transportation: Shuttle bus costs 20 yuan one way; unlimited free rides are available for guests staying at hotels within the scenic area. The core experience is "daytime ink painting tour, nighttime starry river tour"—during the day, stroll along Huilong Street, experience intangible cultural heritage handicrafts such as batik, and watch a bamboo rafting performance ("water ballet"); in the evening, take a rowboat ride on the river; and at night, watch the lighting ceremony, drone show, and intangible cultural heritage iron flower making. Spring and autumn have the most comfortable climate, while summer is cool and suitable for escaping the heat.

Wujiang Village is built against the mountainside, with its core area featuring a stone-paved walking path. The distance from the main gate to the core performance area is about 3 kilometers, accessible by foot or sightseeing electric cart. There are many slopes and steps within the village, so comfortable flat shoes are recommended. The restrooms are clean and well-equipped. There are gift shops and intangible cultural heritage workshops (batik, papermaking, etc.) within the village where you can purchase handicrafts.
