Overview
Fuxian Lake, located 1.5 hours south of Kunming, is China's largest deep-water freshwater lake, renowned for its Class I water quality with visibility reaching 12 meters and its reputation as a "vast expanse of crystal."
A visit to the lake typically requires 1 to 2 days, allowing for exploration around the entire lake. The best time to visit is spring (March to May) and autumn (September to November), when the weather is mild and the lake water is at its clearest.
